History
The history of Borri began in 1932, when the company was founded by Ernesto Borri as a small local manufacturer of electrical equipment. During the 1950s, Borri entered the field of power conversion and began working on systems for large power plants in Italy. With the development of information technology during the 1980s, the company expanded its activities into the standard UPS systems market.
Over the following decades, Borri developed specialized solutions for industry and critical infrastructure. During the 2010s, the company supplied high-power UPS systems for data centers, including high-efficiency solutions for large infrastructure projects. In 2020, Borri became part of Legrand Group, while retaining its specialization and manufacturing facility in Italy.

Product range
The Borri product portfolio covers uninterruptible power supply and power conversion systems for standard and critical applications. The range includes single-phase and three-phase UPS systems, modular solutions with power ratings above 1 MW, static transfer switches, and specialized equipment for data centers, telecommunications, healthcare, and other facilities where a power interruption could have serious consequences.
For the industrial sector, Borri offers specially designed AC and DC UPS systems, rectifiers and battery chargers, inverters, and frequency converters. The equipment is also designed for operation in demanding environments in the oil and gas industry, energy sector, transport, chemical industry, marine applications, and other critical processes.
