FIAMM is an Italian brand with more than 80 years of history in the development and production of batteries and energy storage solutions. The company was founded in 1942 and has established an international presence in the automotive, industrial, and energy sectors. FIAMM products are used in applications where the reliability of primary or backup power supply is of critical importance.
The company develops various battery technologies for stationary and mobile applications. Its industrial solutions are designed for UPS systems, telecommunications, data centers, power generation, railway infrastructure, the oil and gas industry, and security systems.
The history of FIAMM began in 1942 in Montecchio Maggiore, Italy, with the name originating from Fabbrica Italiana Accumulatori Motocarri Montecchio. Initial production focused on starter batteries for automobiles and batteries for electric traction. In 1950, a Ferrari 195 S Berlinetta equipped with a FIAMM battery won the Mille Miglia, and the brand began expanding its presence among automotive manufacturers.
Over the following decades, FIAMM expanded its production and international operations. During the 1980s, the company began exporting stationary batteries to the United States and strengthened its presence in key European markets. After 2000, the company invested in new manufacturing facilities, distribution, and technologies. In 2022, FIAMM celebrated its 80th anniversary.
The FIAMM product range includes battery solutions for automotive and industrial applications. For stationary power supply, the company offers AGM and AGM+ batteries, GEL models, conventional flooded batteries, and other specialized solutions. The different technologies allow the appropriate battery to be selected according to the required capacity, discharge profile, operating conditions, and expected service life.
Stationary batteries are used in UPS systems, telecommunications infrastructure, data centers, power plants and substations, railway transport, the oil and gas industry, emergency systems, and renewable energy applications. The portfolio is complemented by battery cabinets, racks, monitoring systems, connectors, and other accessories for building complete battery systems.
